The wild whispers. Will you answer the call?
Basecamp:Boulder is a 3-day event on September 11-14 for men who want to venture beyond the ordinary.
"Most men die at 25; we just bury them at 75.”
Two centuries later, Benjamin Franklin's words echo louder than ever.
Too many men wither under the weight of hollow pursuits. Society commands us to chase fortune and fame, to measure success on a single, narrow dimension.
It rapidly becomes a gilded cage—a comfortable, but ultimately empty existence.
Today more than ever, men want—no, we need—more.
Basecamp:Boulder is a new event—and the start of a community—for men who want to venture beyond the ordinary.
Men who hear the whisper of the wild calling them to:
ADVENTURE: Not the sterilized, theme park variety, but raw, unfiltered "Type 2 Fun" that changes us from within.
BROTHERHOOD: Not just fist bumps and small talk, but iron bonds forged through true adventure and adversity.
BUILD TOGETHER: Not just financial empires, but lives worth remembering. Stories worth telling. Friendships that endure. Meaning that outlasts us.
Are you ready to answer the call?

Agenda: Day 0
Thursday, September 11
Welcome to Boulder!
You’ll fly to Denver International Airport (DEN). Arrange your own lodging in Boulder (we have group rates) and we’ll take care of the rest.
In the evening we’ll have dinner and a briefing at an iconic local restaurant.
Then it’s early to bed to be rested for the adventures ahead.
📸: Downtown Boulder, framed by flatirons. Do you hear their whisper?
Agenda: Day 1
Friday, September 12
Prepare yourself for one of America’s iconic outdoor experiences. It’s an alpine start! (That means up early in climbing speak.)
Grab coffee and a gourmet breakfast box and meet up with your guide for the day’s adventure:
Option 1 is to climb one of the 140 flatirons that tower above Boulder. Any reasonably fit person can do it safely but if heights aren’t your thing…
Option 2 is an equally stunning group hike in the flatirons.
We’ll rendezvous in the early afternoon to grab lunch, rehydrate, and board a shuttle to our private mountain location (the one shown at the top of this page!).
Later, we’ll enjoy a five-star dinner under the stars followed by a talk from a renowned adventurer.
It’s early to bed one more time—trust us, you’ll be ready to count sheep.
📸: A gang of knuckleheads gears up for an ascent of the Third Flatiron during our pilot event.
Agenda: Day 2
Saturday, September 13
It’s another alpine start because today’s objective is another bucket list experience: hiking one of Colorado’s 58 “fourteeners” (14,000 foot peaks). You’ll be in a small group with a guide. There’s a range of options for any level of fitness and masochism.
Or, if you’re beat from the day before and just want to chill at camp, that’s fine too. There will be swimming, SUP, and lots of other stuff to do.
We’ll regroup in the evening for another five-star dinner and our founder, Kevin Dahlstrom, will present the vision and roadmap for the community.
Afterward, we’ll hang out by a bonfire with music & drinks.
📸: Summit-bound hikers on the legendary 14’er, Long’s Peak. The Diamond, one of the world’s highest alpine big walls, looms above.
Agenda: Day 3
Sunday, September 14
No alpine start today—you’ve earned some rest! It’s a lazy morning with an epic steak & eggs breakfast spread.
There will be swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, instructed mobility training, and more.
Mid-morning we’ll gather for a talk about how we can build together—not just a community, but physical spaces (I call them “compounds”).
Shuttles depart our private camp at Noon with a stop in Boulder then DEN
📸: SUPing on an alpine lake—it doesn’t get any better.
Location & Accommodations
Your private mountain retreat.
Our basecamp for the event will be a private location in the mountains above Boulder. It’s stunning and will feel a million miles away from your normal life. And that’s the whole point.
We’ll be sleeping under the stars—but not exactly roughing it. You and a fellow adventurer will share a luxury “glamping” tent with a real bed and plenty of creature comforts.
📸: Comfortable, no-frills accommodations at our secret mountain location.
Before the Event
“Anticipation is half the adventure.”
The event is in September—but the adventure begins months before you arrive in Boulder. Leading up to the event, you’ll receive monthly Basecamp Boxes with $750 in gear and surprises. You’ll also participate in online meetups and 1-on-1 matchups so you’ll arrive at the event prepared and knowing a few guys.
📸: What’s in your first Basecamp Box? Only those who join the adventure will find out.

Opportunity to become a founding member of the community
"The peer group I've always wanted doesn't exist… so I’m building it.”
A note from our founder, Kevin Dahlstrom:
There's no shortage of peer groups and fancy executive retreats out there. Over the years, I've tried a bunch but none of them stuck. I always wondered why.
Is it me?
Eventually, it dawned on me:
All of these groups claim to be focused on more than just business and careers, but…
The literal qualification to join is your job title, business size, and net worth.
What a narrow-minded way to measure success, ambition, and character. It would exclude many of the people who I admire most!
The peer group I've always wanted doesn't exist... so I'm building it.
It starts with Basecamp:Boulder, an event that embodies the spirit of this community.
Basecamp:Boulder is for high-performing, ambitious men who want to step outside the ordinary, share amazing adventures and build rich, multi-dimensional lives with like-minded peers.
My goal for Basecamp:Boulder is for it to be the highest ROI investment you make this year. I want each person to leave the event a different person, with epic stories to tell and new friendships that endure forever.
I’ll see you out there!
